Exact Performance Analysis of Full-Correlated MIMO Fading Channel with Transmit Antenna Selection
—In this paper, by using the moment generating function (MGF) method, we derived the exact symbol error rate (SER) of multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) system with transmit-antenna selection in a fullcorrelated fading channel. There are three assumptions in this work. The first is that the channel state information (CSI) is available only at the receiver but not at the transmitter. The second is that the transmit antenna selection is based on the instantaneous received signal power, and only one transmit antenna is chosen during a transmission period. The last is that the spatial correlation is present at both ends of the wireless communications link. A closed-form expression of SER is obtained. And a unified formula of SER for several popular digital linear modulations is presented. Several numerical examples are performed to validate our theoretical analysis. Keywords- antenna selection, correlated fading channel, performance analysis
