The least-mean-magnitude-phase algorithm with applications to communications systems
This paper presents the least-mean-magnitude-phase (LMMP) algorithm for adaptive signal processing of complex-valued signals. The algorithm employs a decomposition of the meansquared error cost and allows different normalized step sizes to be selected for the magnitude and phase errors. Simulations show that the algorithm is useful when either the amplitude or the phase relationship between the input and desired response signals can be accurately estimated.
