Biometric advances apply to a range of disciplines to ensure the safety and security of individuals and groups. To stress the value of biometrics, this study focuses on the application of biometric techniques to a vast range of individuals and groups, irrespective of their age. This report covers biometric development within three generations. For the younger age group, biometrics can play a significant role in ensuring physical safety within the learning and dormitory environment. Additionally, biometrics can assist teachers within this environment to enhance the administration features. This allows more hands-on time for the education of children. The application of biometrics for adults has made great progression in the last couple of years. The research considers biometric advancements in the areas of travel and immigration, healthcare, law enforcement and banking.
