Object Tracking Using Durative Events

This paper presents a distributed middleware architecture based on a service-oriented approach, to manage high volume sensor events. Event management takes a multi-step operation from event sources to ﬁnal subscribers, combining information collected by wireless devices into higher-level information or knowledge. An event correlation service provides sophisticated event ﬁltering, aggregation and correlation over time and space in heterogeneous network environments. An experimental prototype in the simulation environment with real world data produced by the Active BAT system is shown.
