A Range-Free Localization Algorithm for Wireless Sensor Networks

Distributed localization in wireless sensor networks has attracted significant interest in recent years. In this paper, we propose two improvements towards the DV-Hop algorithm: the anchor placement strategy and the Weighted DV-Hop algorithm. It is demonstrated that our proposals ensure better location estimations and the Weighted DV-Hop is expected to perform even better in actual implementations.
