Sentence Extraction by Questioning
This paper presents a sentence extraction method based on Concept Coupling Model, a language model for handling natural language sentence structures. Sentence extraction is performed by retrieving sentences from texts that contain the explicit answer to a user query. The sentence structure representation scheme provided by the model facilitates the retrieval operation which is basically a structure matching between the query and the target sentence structures. The proposed method is expected to be most effectively used in applications where natural language expressions can be user-controlled so that a more improved parsing accuracy can be achieved.
