Thispaperdescribesan extensionto the RAPsystem task-net semanticsandrepresentationlanguageto enable the effectivecontrolof continuousprocesses.The representationaddressesthe problemsof synchronizing plan expansionwitheventsin the world,coping withmultiple, non-deterministictask outcomes,and the descriptionof a simpleformof clean-uptask. It is alsopointedout that successandfailure needno specialplacein a task networkrepresentation.Success andfailure are really messagesaboutthe execution system'sknowledgeanddonot explicitly definethat system'sflowof control.
