Utility of the OpenAccess database in academic research

The proliferation of OpenAccess is opening promising new research opportunities to academic communities. The beneﬁts of adopting an OpenAccess based approach to EDA research are growing, and we review a number of them. Among them are the ability to learn about a domain while writing software for it, increased ease of code reuse, new high-quality benchmarks, and enhanced industry adoption.
