Annealing Sensor Networks

With a continuing improvement in the capabilities of intelligence per unit of energy, we should reconsider the organisation of sensor networks. We contend that solutions should be model-free, locally based and need to be highly dynamic in nature. Here we propose an approach inspired by simulated annealing. In the context of several application scenarios we explore the potential for adding intelligence to sensor networks.
