RDF Models for Dynamic Syndication and Wireless Applications
Machine-understandable metadata is providing the foundation for next-generationframeworks that enable automated construction ofserver-side Java applications. Suchapplications are composed ofmetadata objects implementingRDF models and Java classes that use metadata objects as processingcontext. Using RDF to support dynamictransformationof content todifferent channels and devices opens up opportunities for multi-purpose content services that target different audiences and a wide varietyof desktop and wireless devices. Suchservices do not have to depend on costlymaintenance to keep up withnew, evolving, and personalized devices. Properly designed applications that are built inthe era of cell phones and palmdevices should still work for interactive TVand futuristic Star Trek-like personal communicators. Keywords Metadata, RDF, Transformation, Wireless.
