Hiding HSM Systems from the User

File life-times longer than the life-time of HSMsystems make it necessary to move files from one HSM-system to another. Such a migration takes a long time and cannot be hidden from the user unless an additional layer of software is put in between. RZG is using MR-AFS as such a layer. The features of MR-AFS are presented once again. RZG's experiences with HSMmigrations and the usage patterns of MR-AFS are discussed.
