Intelligent Network Control Using Object-Oriented Term-Rewriting
In this paper, we describe the theoretical framework that allows us to use of the expert system shell CLIPS to define the network model in the Distribution Management System (DMS) for the Indonesian State Power system (PLN). The rules defining the behavior of the system are developed using the framework of Object-Oriented Term-Rewriting (OOTR) in order to guarantee the asynchronous character of the program's execution. Furthermore, we can provide syntactic tests that allow us to guarantee non-interaction between rules in our systems so that we can combine both the rules for power propagation in the network, and the rules for the intelligent control of the network in a safe and uniform fashion.
