Detection of objects is in general a computationally demanding task. To simplify the problem it is of interest to utilize contextual information and perform a staggered recognition where context is recognized as a precursor to object detection. In this paper an approach to object detection using context is presented. The presented methodology is evaluated in the context of a table top scenario.
