PreSenseII: bi-directional touch and pressure sensing interactions with tactile feedback
Thispaperintroducesanewinputdevicecalled "PreSenseII"thatrecognizesposition,touchand pressureofauser'sfinger.Thisinputdeviceactsasa normaltouchpad,butalsosensespressurefor additionalcontrol.Tactilefeedbackisprovidedto indicatethestateoftheuserinterfacetotheuser.By sensingthefingercontactarea,pressurecanbe treatedintwoways.Thiscombinationenablesvarious userinteractions,includingmultiplehardwarebutton emulation,mapscrollingwithcontinuousscalechange, andlistscrollingwithpressure-basedspeedcontrol.
