We propose a method for describing architectural aspects in UML and show how binding speciﬁcations are used to compose aspects with base models. UML classes, parts, ports, and connectors are used for aspect structural description and sequence diagrams and state machines for behaviour. We discuss the relationship with standard UML constructs and the requirements for the binding language of architectural aspects.
