Architectural Image Segmentation Using Digital Watersheds
The use of digital image analysis in architectural photogrammetry allows the automation of monotonous low-level tasks and makes the interpretation of facades much easier. Different segmentation methods for a computer assisted mapping of joint contours are discussed. Exemplary the application of the watershed transform is described and a combined watershedmethod will be presented, which is well suited for the extraction of irregular stones.
