I received my B.S. in atmospheric science and applied mathematics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.  I am now a first-year graduate student at MIT working with Kerry Emanuel studying tropical cyclone dynamics.  I also spent 2 months as a volunteer teacher in Tamale, Ghana (2007), 4 months as an intern at the World Meteorological Organization in the World Climate Programme (Geneva, Switzerland; 2007), and 6 months as a research associate at the Joint Global Change Research Institute (College Park, MD, 2008).
