Modeling an air percussion for composition and performance

This paper presents a project involving a percussionist playing on a virtual percussion. Both artistic and technical aspects of the project are developed. Especially, a method for strike recognition using the Flock of Birds is presented, as well as its use for artistic purpose. Keywords Gesture analysis, virtual percussion, strike recognition.
